Uvarovite is dazzling with its shimmering green crystals.
It is a subspecies of garnet that contains chromium.
Garnet, which has a strong image of being a red gemstone, actually comes in a variety of colors, including orange, purple, and yellowish green.
Among them, ubarovite crystals are miniscule, measuring about 3 mm at the largest.
It is the only mineral classified as a garnet that is rarely found as a gemstone.
Uvarovite is a collection of such tiny crystals.
