Murex pecten

It is a type of conch shell with highly developed spines.
It has a fishbone-like shape, with spines growing at 120° intervals.

It is also known as a carnivorous shellfish that eats other shellfish.
In Japan, it is sometimes displayed at the entrance of houses as a charm to ward off evil spirits.
