Kangaroo paw

Enclosed specimens of many kangaroo-paws are trapped in a plate about the size of A5.

A plant native to Australia, the name comes from the shape of the flower’s tips.

Its tubular form has a mechanism to disperse pollen by attaching it to the heads of birds that come to drink the nectar.

Even when exposed to harsh environments, such as droughts and fires, new shoots will sprout as long as the rhizomes survive.
