Green Apophyllite (1.6in cube)
This mineral is characterized by its leaf-like crystals.
Apophyllite is produced in a variety of colors, with green apophyllite being the rarest of them all.
The name "apophyllite" is derived from the Greek words "apo" (away) and "phyllon" (leaf), as it breaks into leaf-like fragments when heated.
It is also called fisheye stone in Japan because the crystals often shimmer and look like a fish's eye.
We hope you will take the time to look at the sparkling mineral leaves from different angles.
