Starfish (Astropecten sp.)

A type of echinoderm.
Their bodies are flat and star-shaped, with arms radiating from the center.
They usually have five arms, but some species have more, and it is not uncommon for species with five arms to end up with four or six.

Starfish bodies are covered in an endoskeleton made up of small bones tightly packed together.
The small bones are connected by muscles and connective tissue, which allows the body's hardness to be freely adjusted.
