Common Kestrel feather
The Common Kestrel is a member of the Falconiformes and Falconidae families.
It is widely distributed in Eurasia and Africa. Individuals that breed in cold regions migrate south to overwinter during the winter.
It is characterized by its reddish-brown plumage with black spots, the male's head and tail are blue-gray, and the female's are brown with pointed wing tips.
