Quail grass

The flame-like forms of the plant are actually made up of many small flowers. This is a robust plant that tolerates high temperatures and dryness, so it grows well even in wastelands. The scientific name argentea, meaning “silvery,” is derived from the color of the flowers, which changes from dark red to silvery white.
