[Sola cube] Karamatsu

Posted by Usagi no Nedoko on

Karamatsu is a deciduous conifer indigenous to Japan.

It is the only deciduous arbor among conifers originating in Japan.

The Japanese name came from the appearance of the leaves, which looks like pine trees depicted in Chinese paintings.

Look at the Karamatsu cube from sideways, and you can appreciate the familiar pinecone shape.

Looking from the top, the round seed scales overlapping on top of another looks like a blossom.

The charm of Karamatsu lies in the variety of angles, each of which reveals unique aspects of the plant.

As Sola cube represents a specific season, it adds a seasonal flavor to your interior.
