Diadem urchin

A beautiful white sea urchin bone specimen.

The sea urchin covers its entire body with spines to protect itself from foreign enemies.

The entire body of a living Diadem urchin is black, and its long, slender, toxic spines are difficult to dislodge when they sting, so care must be taken.

In addition, as they proliferate, they eat up seaweed, causing rocky shore scorch, which has been a major blow to the ecosystem and the fishing industry.

We wondered if there was a way to exterminate and utilize the Diadem urchin, and as a result, this sea urchin specimen was born.
